With just three days left until the Mahika Mahikeng festival, the event manager Mosele Lepheane clarifies that the Mahika Mahikeng official opening ceremony will take place on Friday, March 17, at Kgotla ya Borra-Tshidi precisely at 10am, to greet and receive the blessings from Kgosi Montshioa for all major three events to be successful. According to the event manager, during the public event, some artists will give live performances for the community's amusement. Two and half hours later carnival buses and motorbikes will leading the way to the Mmabatho Stadium Parking lot, as the carnival arrives at the stadium, there will be music entertainment and exhibitions. "25 exhibitors have confirmed their attendance as they will be showcasing their arts and crafts" event manager confirms.

The bulit-in DOME will only host gospel and jazz events on Friday and Saturday. Over 10,000 people will be hosted at the different view where the Sunday Amapiano event will be held. Both the Friday gospel and Saturday jazz festival will begin at 5 pm and end at 1 am. The Amapiano event, on the other hand, will begin on Sunday at 3 pm, but doors will actually open at 12 p.m and the event will end at 3 am early hours of Monday. Moreover, certain roads will be closed, although there will be alternate routes available. The attendees safety will be of the utmost importance, as security will be quite strictly, said Mosele.
