NORTH WEST ARTS AND CULTURE CHIEF DIRECTOR ADDRESSES MEMBERS OF THE MEDIA AT SANDTON

Thabo Mabe, the chief director of arts and culture, has confirmed that there would be Mahika Mahikeng activations in Botswana from 3rd March through March 5th. The cornerstone event for the North West Province will formally begin on March 15 with exhibitions, according to the Chief Director.

The chief director also confirmed there will be a customary ritual on Friday, March 17, in the morning at Kgotla ya Barolong Boora Tshidi to greet the chief and cows will be slaughtered for the community to eat.

“This event is only the first leg, of the festival, and the main will be in December. We had a media launch in Mahikeng, and now we are here to bring those outside the province" chief director Thabo Mabe concluded.
